1 st July 2006 “Cold, Dark and Spooky” The assembly point was the Baptist Church , North East Road , St Agnes, but did that help, not a lot!! At ten minute intervals, complete with maps, torches, emergency packs (to be opened in case of), we were despatched into the dark, dark night, we were told it was about 60 km's, the roads would be “Ok”, but!, the first car was away at 6.00 pm “sharp”, followed by another 21.
 Meanwhile, the Hills were alive with the sound of spooks, witches, gravel roads (a bit), bumps, thumps on cars, screams and “jeez what was that!!!” At the top of the hill we tuned left at Range Road North (easy now with a map), right onto Hannaford Road , was that a buzzard or a vulture? onto Bashaw Road, past the Devils brew of Fire Water, right into Wattle Road, to get our “spider eggs”, with the fang pick and only five, just before Tom Dooley's hangin spot. Then, the “eye of a newt” in the Enchanted Forest and at last, the haunted hall, shivering like a dog and razor blades mixed up. A cheery fire, a beaut BBQ and a coldy or a coffee, dependent on your choice. The map says it all, a beaut night, lots of scares, laughs, “discussions” in cars, monsters and no rain! Behind all of this was a lot of hard work, not the least of which was the effort put in by Cathy and Clinton Jacobs, who travelled the route no less than 13 times to get it right.
 The work on all the “props”, the masks, the laughing witches in the Hall, the people who were the spooks and monsters (club members, past and present, friends and relative) and the cooks, don't forget the cooks!! Those of us who did the run owe you all huge thanks, there were 22 carloads, of us, 59 members and guests and a further 29 guests who took part, that's 89 people in total. Makes it all worthwhile eh? Well done to all, participants for venturing out and to the hardworking, cold group who put in the hard yard for us.
