What a lovely day! The sun was out, a clear sky and no sign of rain. Bad for the garden but top for a cruise. The traffic was light, and the company was excellent. There were a few extras from the Escort Cortina Car Club and I hope they enjoyed them selves as we did. We will see when they get another invite.

Shane did a fantastic job organising the cruise, getting the run rolling and organising the stops on the way and at the end.
The cruise cars almost filled the Burra Hotel car park.
I am impressed how many locals came over to have a look and talk to us. Not much happens in a country town these days so when a dozen or so different Fords drive into town, they do get a little curious. For those who are wondering, no Barge Fairlanes were spotted on the way but more about this in ‘on a lighter note’.

The highlight of the run was Vince going home with a boot load of Ford wheel trims. A local invited Vince to check out a car he was going to through away and while he was there gathered up his wheel trims and gave them to Vince.
So, if you are in need of a replacement wheel trim,Vince may have what you need.

Some of our members went to feed the ducks, do some shopping (would that be Gloria again?), have a feed at the hotel or sit round for a chat.
A great day had by all I think! We will be doing this all over again in June with The Prez.
