Now for some house keeping ...
The FOCC subscription fee becomes due and payable from the first of January (you can pay earlier and some have) and there is a grace period up until midnight of the day of the FOCC meeting in March. Any member retains all rights and privileges up until the end of the grace period.
That means that you can still drive your HVRS vehicle up until the end of the grace period. |
You can not have your log
book updated until you have paid your subscription for the new club year. If you have your logbook updated early you will have less trouble with the Police during the grace period if they happen to stop
you for any reason.
Your registration paper says that you have paid to use your vehicle for 90 days in any registration
year. The actual act of registration of your vehicle for use on any given day is when you actually fill out a
line in your logbook. Note that I wrote your logbook not a logbook that belongs to the club. The logbook
is good for three years and at the end of that period the club registrar should stamp the pages
cancelled and issue a new logbook. The cancelled logbook is a registration document and should be
returned to the vehicle owner. There is a legal period called the statute of limitations which is six years
and you should keep your cancelled logbooks in a safe place until that period has expired.
