The never ending mission of trouble - *UPDATED*
Well the project is once again stopped waiting for the shed to be built. As far as the contact in the
USA for parts, chapmanindustries@yahoo.com, it seems communication is not his forte. He has located
some bits and is still searching for a few more but I have not heard back for some time. Maybe he has
started having problems because he is dealing with the Mr. Gullible curse.
The Shed
Mr Gullible is striding ahead with the shed and is having an erection all of his own. No not that
sort, he is erecting the shed himself. Most of the frame work is done, may be complete by the end of the
Easter holidays. Then the cladding will go on and last but not least the floor. The floor is going to be the
big test, some 152 square metres of concrete and still don’t know if the full trucks can make it down and
up the driveway. Let alone the empty ones getting out.
As a warning, ETSA came through last week to trim trees close to the power lines. Their
interpretation of 5 Metres is a little vague; however one of their trucks got stuck because it could not get
out of the driveway. From the holes made by the spinning wheels they failed 5 times. I came across the
crew a few days later and they explained it all started with an ambitious driver who missed a gear on the
way up. He had a 2 ½ ton trailer behind and could not do a standing start. They uncoupled the trailer,
(leaving the big rock they used as a chock in the driveway). Got the truck out then tried to use a 4 wheel
drive to pull the trailer. They ended up using a second truck and a snatch rope to get all their equipment
out. I can tell you now that I am not going to mix all that concrete by hand.
